American-born Professor Michael Heimlich worked in Silicon Valley in the United States for almost 10 years. He moved to Australia to teach at Macquarie University and start the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) at Macquarie University. From that one team, FRC and other FIRST programs in Australia have become hugely popular.
