Activity Ideas

Research the human skeleton and draw a model of the skeletal bones. Label your diagram and present the information to your family or the class.
Brainstorm and then draw your own Da Vinci robot to perform an operation you think would be difficult. Maybe it could remove teeth from toddlers or replace brains in brain surgery. Think about the potential jobs a robot could do in your home? Cleaning, feeding, getting you dressed in the morning? Use your imagination to create the most useful robot in the world!
Has technology impacted on surgery in the past 100 years? Create a research poster that explains the differences in approaches to medicine over the past 50 or 100 years. Develop a presentation to present to your class on your findings. You may like to interview family members about their experiences of bone surgery to include in your presentation?
