ST2-11NE - Identifies that science knowledge helps people understand the effect of their actions on the survival of living things.
ST3-11NE - Describes the physical conditions of their environment that affect the growth and survival of living things.

Activity Ideas

List the responsibilities you have as a pet owner. Feeding, cleaning etc.

Design a poster that shows how to keep pets healthy.

Write an explanation report on livestock in Australia and its importance to the economy and the community.

Visit a farm and write a diary entry about the responsibilities of running a farm.

Research what is a disease and how we can keep our pets safe. What common diseases do dogs and cats carry that can be passed on to humans.

Construct food web/chain of an animal of your choice.

Research the habitats of tigers. Draw a picture of a tiger in its natural environment. What factors have threatened the Tiger species.
